Deadline Fast Approaching

Tuesday night in Richmond, VA, supporters came together to help raise funds for our Back-2-School shopping program.  We had a great time and once again would like to thank all of the wonderful sponsors that came to New York Deli to support the program. The funds raised will help us take 180 inner city Richmond children on a shopping trip for two new school outfits, a pair of shoes, a snack, time with a volunteer mentor, and a backpack filled with school supplies. 

This is the fourth year for our Back-2-School shopping program and the kids are really looking forward to participating. So far, we have raised an impressive $6,530 on the GlobalGiving.com website for our Back-to-School program. This earns us a permanent spot on their site!  We are currently in 4^th place out of 74 organizations and have a real shot at 3^rd place. 

There’s not much time! We only have until June 30^th!  If we come in 3^rd, we receive an additional $1,000.  We REALLY need your help.  Please consider a gift via the GlobalGiving site, and help us send 180 inner city children on a back-to-school shopping trip!

Help Children, Incorporated Become a Member of GlobalGiving.com

Today marks a very exciting achievement for us as an organization. We have been selected to debut our back to school shopping project on the fundraising website called GlobalGiving.com. The hope is that through this outlet, we will reach numerous new donors and constituents who otherwise might not know about us and what we do. 

We have been challenged to raise at least $4,000 starting today until the end of the month!!! If we do that we formally become members of the website and can post any project and fundraise for it….needless to say this could be huge for us as other organizations have been able to mobilize amounts up to $1,000,000! 

We need your help. Please consider a gift (any size!) and please share this with all your friends and family and help us spread the word.
