A generous donation from the Barry Chappell Fine Art Showcase has allowed Children, Incorporated to make substantial improvements to the Ratnam School in Guntur, India. Before the renovation, the school could accommodate no more than 160 children--now its capacity is greater than 600! In addition to increasing its number of enrolled children, Ratnam will now be able to offer a broader range of subjects.

Wow that looks like a nice school! And the children look very happy and healthy. Kudos.
How much does a project like this cost and does the money to build it come from sponsorships or the general fund?

Tim,
I am glad that you enjoyed seeing the Ratnam photos, and I appreciate your question.
All of our major building projects are funded by special donations. We were able to renovate the Ratnam School thanks to a gift from the Barry Chappell Fine Art Showcase. We do not use sponsorship funds or our general fund for projects of this nature.
If you would like more information on other special projects, please feel free to email us at sponsorship@children-inc.org.
